WHO WE ARE

Church Activation Strategies helps pastors and church leaders navigate turning underutilized church space into mission-aligned assets that generate sustainable funding for ministry through strategic childcare partnerships.

We bridge the gap between churches and childcare providers by guiding church leadership through the process with clarity. Working on behalf of the church, we help leaders evaluate opportunities and structure partnerships that meet licensing requirements while protecting the mission and culture of the church, allowing staff to remain focused on ministry.

With the right partnership in place, a church building becomes more than a space used on Sundays. It becomes an asset that funds ministry and serves the community for years to come.

About

MEET THE FOUNDER

BRITTANY DEROCHE

Church Activation Strategies was founded by Brittany DeRoche, a church facilities and partnerships strategist who pioneered childcare/partnership development at a national consulting firm, helping churches uncover the hidden potential within their buildings.

Over the past several years, she has guided more than two dozen churches into partnerships with leading third-party childcare operators, creating nearly $77 million in projected ministry funding over the next 15 years. It was through this work that she felt called to step out and serve churches in a deeper and more dedicated way.

Known as “The Church Activation Gal,” Brittany brings a rare combination of experience to this work. She understands childcare operators well enough to speak their language and church culture well enough to protect it. That is what allows her to connect the dots, bridge the gaps, and help churches move from vision to execution with clarity and confidence.

Additional Services: With a proven track record of guiding successful activation projects, we also provide project management support to help prepare church facilities for childcare licensing.

We bridge communication between church leadership, the project team, and the childcare provider, advocating for the church's interests while keeping the partnership mission aligned and the project on schedule within scope, and on budget for a successful launch.

THE PROCESS

Feasibility
Study

Every engagement begins with understanding the church, its vision, and its mission. Before any commitments are made, we conduct a feasibility study with qualified childcare providers, assessing community need and demand, giving church leaders a clear picture of the potential opportunity.

Activation
Planning

If the opportunity is viable and church leaders are ready to move forward, the process shifts into intentional planning. Together, we define how the space will function throughout the week and on weekends, establish clear roles and responsibilities, and align scope, budget, and operational expectations to ensure the partnership is structured, sustainable, and fully aligned with the church’s mission and priorities.

Partnership Agreement
Support

As the partnership moves toward implementation and execution, we help guide the agreement process between the church and childcare provider, bringing clarity to negotiations and helping ensure the final agreement aligns with the scope, expectations, and priorities already defined.

OUR ROLE AND APPROACH

What We Do

  • Represent the church’s interests, not the childcare provider

  • Help pastors and church leaders navigate decisions with clarity and confidence

  • Evaluate partnership opportunities before commitments are made

  • Establish guardrails that protect the church’s mission, values, and focus

  • Help reduce unnecessary costs through early clarity and alignment

  • Guide churches through every stage of the church childcare partnership process

What We Don’t Do

  • Operate childcare centers or oversee daily childcare operations

  • Represent childcare providers, franchises, or vendors

  • Offer pre packaged or one size fits all partnership models

  • Recommend partnerships that are not aligned with the church’s mission, values, or long term vision

  • Ask churches to assume staffing, licensing, or operational burdens

  • Rush decisions that carry long term facility, financial, and ministry impact

  • Provide legal advice or act as attorneys

WHY THIS MATTERS

WHY THIS MATTERS

Childcare providers are experts in childcare operations. Churches are experts in ministry. When those roles blur, churches can end up carrying responsibilities they were never meant to hold.

At the same time, giving patterns are shifting within the church, families are facing long childcare waitlists that impact both the community and the workforce, and church buildings often sit underutilized five to six days a week.

That creates a unique opportunity. With the right strategy, underutilized church space can become a powerful asset that helps fund ministry, serve families, strengthen the local workforce, and respond to the childcare crisis while allowing the church to remain focused on its ministry.

Church Activation Strategies helps pastors and church leaders navigate that opportunity with clarity while protecting the church’s mission, values, and long term vision every step of the way.
